COLUMBUS, Ohio — The man who was found unconscious with severe head injuries in Grandview earlier this week has died, according to his family.
Officers and medics found 57-year-old Stephen Albright near the train tracks on West Fifth Avenue, just east of Dublin Road, on Monday. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
His brother, James Albright, shared on Facebook that Stephen died Friday morning at the hospital surrounded by friends and family.
Police are still searching for two persons of interest who may be connected to the incident.
Information surrounding what happened to him is limited, but police are asking for the public's help in identifying two people who were seen on bicycles around the time he was injured.
Police released two short video surveillance clips showing two people on bicycles riding in the area where the incident took place. The first video, timestamped around 7:40 p.m., shows a person wearing dark clothing riding by. The second video, timestamped at 7:48, shows a person wearing a red and white jacket.
Police say they "have reason to believe" the two may have been traveling together.
Stephen's family set up a GoFundMe that can be found here.
Anyone with information or additional surveillance footage is asked to contact Grandview police at 614-461-8477.
