HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — A man is dead after his truck reportedly went off the side of the road and hit a grain bin in Highland County early Saturday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on Sorg Road, just west of Davidson Road in Whiteoak Township.
A preliminary investigation shows that 66-year-old James Hart was driving a 1967 Dodge Pickup truck westbound when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway.
The truck hit a grain bin and Hart was then ejected, OSHP says. The truck then continued on and hit a barn.
Hart sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene, troopers say.
The crash remains under investigation.
