The Zanesville Police Department has charged a man in connection with the death of a homeless person earlier this month.
Authorities said 41-year-old Dale Dudas was arrested in connection with the death of 62-year-old Leo Hayes.
Police were called to the Central Presbyterian Church on November 12 on the report of a body being on fire.
The Licking County Coroner's Office determined that Hayes' death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
Dudas has been charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery. He is currently behind held at the Zanesville City Jail being held on $5 million bond.
