COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus police said a man is dead after a shooting in the Short North.
Officers were called out to the area of West 5th Avenue and North High Street around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
The victim, who police say is 25-years-old, remains unidentified as police are notifying next of kin.
Police said 27-year-old Kyshaun Brown is charged with murder after he allegedly shot the victim several times.
Police said Brown knew the victim from both being homeless.
West 5th Avenue is closed in the area of the scene.
The scene is next to the Short North Church, which posted online it will not be open this morning.
