COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder for a shooting in September, according to Columbus police.
Police said Garland Williams was arrested by the Columbus Police SWAT team on Dec. 1.
On Sept. 12, police were called to the 1200 block of Brookway Road shortly after 5 p.m. on the report of a shooting.
Officers arrived at the scene and found 24-year-old Guann Gregory shot. He was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
Williams is in custody at the Franklin County Jail.
Gregory's death marked the 147th homicide in Columbus this calendar year.
