Man accused of sexually abusing minors in central Ohio pleads no contest to four counts

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio — A man accused in a sexual abuse case involving at least five minors in central Ohio has pleaded no contest fo four of the 14 counts against him.

Gary Michael Hill entered a no contest plea Monday to one charge of rape and three charges of gross sexual imposition.

Some of his alleged crimes happened in Delaware County, but others included in the indictment are listed as occurring in Franklin and Fairfield Counties.

Hill, commonly known as Michael or Mike, was originally indicted on 14 counts that spanned from June 1, 2001 through December 30, 2017.  

The rest of the charges were dropped.

Carol O'Brien, who was the Delaware County Prosecutor when Hill was indicted, said at the time he gained access to these victims because he was an acquaintance of their families.

All of the charges he pleaded to are felonies.

Hill is scheduled to be sentenced on September 28.
