An employee at the Licking County Justice Center has been charged after she admitted to having a relationship with an inmate.
According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, they were informed on March 28 that 43-year-old Heather Bookman was possibly having a sexual relationship with an inmate while on duty.
Bookman was questioned about the allegation and she admitted to having sex with an inmate in a bathroom in 2017. She also admitted to other inappropriate relationships with two other inmates.
She was arrested for sexual battery.
Bookman was an employee at the Licking County Justice Center since 2012.
This case is still under investigation.
