COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead following a shooting in west Columbus Friday afternoon, police said.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the 300 block of Lechner Avenue, located in the Hilltop neighborhood, on a report of a shooting just before 3:40 p.m.
One person was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. They were later pronounced dead at 4:06 p.m.
Police said there is no information on a suspect. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
