The Ohio Railway Museum is asking for the community's help to restore a piece of Columbus' history.

Old #703 has a rusted frame, rotting wood, and broken windows. The car was built in 1925 by the G.C. Kuhlman Car Company and weighs 36,230 pounds. Streetcars first arrived in Columbus in 1863.

Old #703 ferried passengers along Parsons Avenue, Neil Avenue and High Street in Clintonville the 1920's.

"This car is unique because of the many streetcars that were in Columbus this is the sole survivor, says Victoria Broskie Ohio Railway Museum Historian.

There is a Gofundme page to help restore this street car. The goal is $25,000. So far the campaign has raised $2,513.
