Arson suspected in Lancaster FOP lodge fire, investigators say

No injuries were reported in the fire.

LANCASTER, Ohio — The Fraternal Order of Police lodge in Lancaster was badly damaged after a fire broke out in the overnight hours of Monday. Investigators suspect the fire was caused by arson.

The Lancaster Fire Department was called to the lodge at 351 South High Street around 3:15 a.m.

Firefighters went defensive and battled the fire from the outside until it was contained. No injuries were reported.

The fire is under investigation, but officials believe arson was the cause of the fire.

Investigators say the building had been vacant since 2021. The lodge was set on fire in April 2021 and Kenneth Dawson was arrested and charged with arson out of the incident.
