Kroger has recalled 48 oz. tubs of Kroger Deluxe S’mores Ice Cream because the product may contain peanuts not listed on the label.

Kroger has recalled 48 oz. tubs of Kroger Deluxe S’mores Ice Cream because the product may contain peanuts not listed on the label according to a listing on the FDA's website.

There have been no reports of anyone having a reaction to the peanuts.

Kroger announced the recall after a supplier, Grain Craft, indicated a raw ingredient may have become contaminated with low levels of peanut residue.

Those who are allergic to peanuts could have a severe reaction if they eat the ice cream.

  • Codes: Sell By May 20, 2017 Sell By: May 23, 2017

Stores affected by the recall include Kroger, Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, JayC, King Soopers, City Market, QFC, and Ralphs and Smith’s.

States affected by the recall incude Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming. No other Kroger locations in Louisiana or Texas are included.

Kroger has removed the ice cream from store shelves.

The company also put its customer recall notification system in place which alerts customers who may have purchased the ice cream.

Customers can call Kroger at 1-800-KROGERS with any questions.If you bought the ice cream, you can return it for a full refund or replacement.
