GROVE CITY, Ohio — The Kroger Community Food Pantry will be closed for several days after a temporary employee tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

In a message posted on the organization's website, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank said they were notified of the positive case on Friday evening.

A spokesperson for the organization did not know when employee worked last, but they worked on the Brookham Drive site.

The organizations says as a result and in compliance with federal, state and local public health guidelines, the Kroger Community Food Pantry will be closed on Saturday, April 25 for deep cleaning and sanitization. The pantry will resume regular hours on Tuesday, April 28.

The spokesperson said the facility is normally closed on Sundays and Mondays, which will help them reopen for normal operations on Tuesday.

"The health, safety and well-being of our customers, volunteers and staff continue to be our top priority here at Mid-Ohio Foodbank" the organization wrote.

The spokesperson said the food bank had moved to a drive-thru model back on March 12, so no one who actually received food should have entered the facility in recent days.
