COLUMBUS- The Franklin Park Conservatory has honored a devoted supporter with a prestigious award.
Karen Fiorile received the Ann Isaly Wolfe Award, during Hat Day, the Conservatory’s signature annual fundraiser.
The award is given to an individual who has demonstrated leadership and enduring service to the botanical garden and conservatory.
In 2001, Fiorile started volunteering with the Franklin Park Conservatory and served as board president in 2010 and 2011.
When the organization began its second major capital campaign in 2014, she stepped up to lead the effort which is close to achieving its $22 million goal.
The many capital improvements resulting from the campaign include the slated opening of the Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children's Garden.
