COLUMBUS, Ohio — ProMusica Chamber Orchestra is returning to the stage for a one-night-only performance with a very special guest.
The Soirée Benefit and Concert raises money to support the orchestra’s artistic and outreach programs. The party begins with cocktails and food at The Westin Hotel’s ballroom before moving into the Southern Theatre for a collaborative concert featuring a special guest.
This year, the orchestra welcomes Grammy Award-winning performer Joshua Henry.
Appearing on Broadway in shows like “Carousel,” “Into the Woods” and “In the Heights,” Henry is best known for his incomparable turn as ‘Aaron Burr’ in the smash-hit musical “Hamilton.”
"This is not your grandma's symphony experience and you're welcome," said Henry of the atmosphere he plans to create at the event. "That the greatest outcome for me would be is just to see and to feel people singing along and nodding their heads and snapping. We're not asking you to jump around and do backflips in the aisles; I'll do that - I got that - but I love the exchange that happens when you share music that's from a very soulful place."
The ProMusica Chamber Orchestra Soirée Benefit and Concert featuring Joshua Henry is Friday, March 15.
The party starts at 6 p.m. and the concert kicks off at 8 p.m. For more information and purchase tickets, click here.
