Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow announced the creation of the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund to help Ohio families in need.
Burrow announced the partnership with the Athens County Food Pantry and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio on Thursday.
"This initiative was made possible through the generosity of people from all over the country, and will have a tremendous effect on the food insecurity issues that many families face in Southeast Ohio."
After Burrow talked about poverty in southeast Ohio during his Heisman Trophy speech, hundreds of thousands of dollars were raised for the Athens County Food Pantry.
