Items stolen from Columbus fire truck in city’s south side

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Fire Chief Steve Martin says several items were stolen from a fire truck in south Columbus Saturday morning.

Authorities it happened at the Kroger on West Sycamore Street between 9 and 10 a.m.

The list of items stolen are as follows:

  • 2 Stihl Circular Saws: TS500 / TS 700 with dax blade
  • ½” Milwaukee drill. In box with drill bit set
  • Toolbox with miscellaneous tools
  • 2 Milwaukee bags with: Cordless drill, cordless saw zaw, drill bit index, assorted drill accessories


Columbus police say the estimated cost of the items stolen amounts to at least $2,800.
