COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was seriously injured in a crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 270 East near Sawmill Road on the north side of Columbus Saturday afternoon. After being closed for several hours, all eastbound lanes are now back open
First responders were called on a report of a crash shortly after 4:15 p.m.
Columbus Division of Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Geitter said that a semi-truck hit a wall or barrier in the crash.
Geitter said one person was transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in serious condition.
All lanes of I-270 eastbound were closed for more than five hours after the crash.
Further details on the cause of the crash are unknown at this time.
