People from across Ohio are remembering Reagan Tokes in the town where she grew up.
Hundreds of people are keeping her memory alive at the "Rally for Reagan" fundraiser weekend in Maumee.
Some of the people who helped plan the three-day long event say they wish they never had to, but they will celebrate Reagan Tokes for her love, legacy, and her light.
"It's overwhelming, the amount of support," Reagan's mom Lisa Tokes said.
Hoping Reagan would be proud, Lisa Tokes says it's the love for her daughter that made the "Rally for Reagan" fundraiser happen.
"What an incredible way to honor Reagan's legacy and memory than by providing the gift of education," Lisa Tokes said.
Inside The Pinnacle, more than 300 people packed the banquet hall for a dinner, silent auction, and dueling piano session.
In Maumee Friday night, the "Rally for Reagan" fundraiser kicked off.
"We need positive. Something to focus on that's good. To celebrate Reagan," family friend Sandy Bigler said.
This celebration of life is about Reagan Tokes' love, legacy, and light.
Her family says it's about giving back too.
"I hope she would be proud that we have chosen to try to hang onto the love and light that I always say was the true embodiment of the spirit of Reagan," Lisa Tokes said.
The "Rally for Reagan" fundraiser continues through the weekend.
A tennis tournament and self-defense class are scheduled to celebrate Reagan.
The Tokes family says they plan to hold the fundraiser next year.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Reagan Delaney Tokes Memorial Foundation, that will fund several scholarships for students to continue their education in Reagan's name.
