COLUMBUS, Ohio — A bicyclist was flown to a hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Athens County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash is believed to have happened between 11 p.m. on Saturday into the early morning hours of Sunday.
The bicyclist was heading southbound on Radford Road, southwest of Athens, riding a Cannondale bike when he was hit from behind by a vehicle.
The vehicle left the scene, OSHP says.
The victim was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia with life-threatening injuries.
Troopers believe the vehicle that left the scene is a 2023 or 2024 Jeep Grande Cherokee, Overland Edition. The Jeep would have damage to the front and right front fender.
