HILLIARD, Ohio – A Hilliard teacher who was charged with sexual imposition has resigned and will forfeit his teaching license as part of a plea agreement.
According to a press release, the city of Hilliard will conditionally dismiss a charge of sexual imposition against Shawn Parsell.
In exchange, Parsell resigned Monday night from the Hilliard City School District. Additionally, he cannot contest the revocation of his Ohio teaching license and can never seek or accept a position involving the caretaking of minors.
The city said the agreement between Hilliard and Parsell was reached Friday.
Parsell had been accused of inappropriately touching a female student at Hilliard Davidson High School in October 2019. He was placed on suspension during the investigation.
