COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person is dead following a shooting in south Columbus Monday evening, according to police.
A Columbus public safety dispatcher told 10TV that a 911 call was made at 8:50 p.m. about someone being injured, but no location was provided at the time.
A short time later, a shooting victim who self-transported arrived at Nationwide Children's Hospital where they were pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m.
At the same time, Columbus Division of Police officers arrived at the original scene of the shooting in the 200 block of Highview Landing, located just east of South High Street.
The dispatcher confirmed that while the victim went to Nationwide Children's, they were not a juvenile.
Police did not provide any information about a suspect or what led up to the shooting.
