Buckeye Country Superfest to bring 60,000 fans to Ohio Stadium; heat precautions in place

A few single tickets are still left on Ticketmaster for Saturday night, but Sunday night there are more tickets available.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Stadium will be packed this weekend for Buckeye Country Superfest 2024. Organizers expect at least 60,000 people to attend the concert.

But, this year it will be hotter than usual. Concert officials said they are prepared for the heat. Colin Thompson, the senior associate AD of facilities, said they are encouraging everyone to wear light, loose-fitting clothing and to bring empty clear plastic bottles for water.

“We will have a lot of refill stations around the facility. Water is free at all of the refill stations, and if you don’t have a water bottle there will be courtesy cups set out. There will be misting stations and fans to move air out on the field and in the concourse so take advantage of that,” said Thompson.

Security at the event will be similar to an Ohio State University football game. There will be police presence, metal detectors and only small wristlets and wallets will be allowed into the stadium.
