COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 6-year-old girl was injured after she was struck by a bullet while inside a car near Wedgewood Village Apartments on Sunday.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to the apartment complex on Wedgewood Drive in the Holly Hill neighborhood around 10:45 p.m.
According to Columbus Police Sgt. Joe Albert, a woman told officers that her vehicle was shot at while driving by the Wedgewood apartments and her daughter was hit.
The girl was taken to Doctors West and then to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for treatment and her condition was described as stable.
Information on a possible suspect was not available.
