COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman who was charged with murder in a Franklinton shooting earlier this year was arrested in Chicago on Tuesday.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 22-year-old Teona Brooks was arrested by U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Brooks was charged in July for the murder of 39-year-old Maurice Porter.
Columbus police said they were called to the 300 block of South Central Avenue around 7:45 p.m. on July 22 on the report of a shooting.
Officers found Porter suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene not long after.
