Man in critical condition after being struck by vehicle in Franklin Township

The sheriff's office said parts found at the scene matched a dark red Ford Fusion.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — A man was critically injured after he was struck by a car in southwestern Franklin County early Friday morning, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened around 2:35 a.m. at North Hague Avenue and El Paso Drive in Franklin Township.

Deputies and officers arrived at the scene and found a man lying down on the road with serious injuries. The man was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Witnesses told authorities that a red Ford vehicle struck the man and drove off. Parts located at the scene matched a dark red 2013-2016 Ford Fusion, according to the sheriff’s office. Detectives added that the vehicle had damage to the headlight on the right passenger side.

North Hague Avenue from El Paso Drive to Lowell Drive is closed while the crash is under investigation.
