FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — One person was critically injured after a crash in Franklin County on Tuesday.

Deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office were called to Norton Road, south of Johnson Road, in Pleasant Township around 9:30 p.m.

Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said the driver of a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe was heading north on Norton Road approaching Johnson Road. The driver went off to the east side of the road and struck a driveway embankment. Baldwin said this may have been caused by medical reasons.

The Santa Fe appeared to have rolled and came to a rest in the front yard of a home on Norton Road.

The driver was taken to Doctors West in critical condition.

Baldwin said the driver was the only occupant of the Santa Fe and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit at 614-525-6113.
