FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — A man was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle near west Columbus Tuesday morning, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened at Fisher Road and North Hague Avenue in Franklin Township around 10:20 a.m.
The sheriff's office said the injured man was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Details on what led to the crash were not immediately available.
The sheriff’s office said the driver did not stay at the scene. Witnesses told deputies that a silver car had struck the man and drove off.
A car matching the description was found and impounded, according to the sheriff's office.
Fisher Road at Hague Avenue is closed as the crash remains under investigation.
