Parent of child found in northeast Columbus has been located

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Franklin County Children Services said the parent of a boy who was found in northeast Columbus has been located. 

FCCS said the child, who appeared to be 7 years old, was brought to FCCS after almost being hit by a car at the intersection of Hamilton and Morse roads. He had a scar on the right side of his nose and the left side of his forehead.

It was believed his name may be Ahmed, but a language barrier prevented police and caseworkers from receiving more information.

At 10:30 pm. Sunday, FCCS said the child's parent arrived at the agency and they were reunited.

Earlier on Sunday, a boy was brought to FCCS after a concerned citizen found him alone near the intersection of Sullivant Avenue and South Hague Avenue by the Family Dollar store. He will soon be reunited with his family.
