Sheriff: 2 injured in southern Franklin County crash

Deputies say the crash happened just before 12:25 a.m. along state Route 104 near Hibbs Road in southern Franklin County.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — Two people were seriously injured in a crash early Sunday morning, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened just before 12:25 a.m. near state Route 104 and Hibbs Road in Jackson Township.

Deputies say a 2011 Jeep Cherokee was heading northbound on Route 104. At the same time, a 2015 Toyota Rav-4 and a 2018 Chevy Colorado were traveling southbound on Route 104.

The Jeep crossed the center line into the southbound lane of Route 104 and hit the Toyota in the rear driver’s side and continued northbound in the southbound lane, hitting the Chevy head on.

The driver of the Jeep was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. The driver and passengers of the Toyota were treated on scene and released with minor injuries, while the driver and only occupant of the Chevy was also taken to Grant Medical Center.

Deputies describe their condition as “serious but stable.”
