Police say the driver was not injured and the truck was not hauling anything at the time of the crash.

The Columbus Division of Fire confirmed that the Environmental Protection Agency was called to assist with the fuel spill.

A spokesperson for the EPA said the fire department was able to contain the spill, but some fuel and motor oil was washed away by the rain. Crews will continue to work to mitigate the spill.

I-70 westbound at I-270 northbound was closed for several hours while the fuel was cleaned up and the truck was removed.
