COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 270 in east Columbus Saturday night, police said.
At 10:15 p.m., a 2021 Honda CR-V was heading north on Interstate 270 north of East Broad Street when a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta struck it from behind. The vehicles, both heavily damaged, stopped along the east side of the interstate.
The driver of the Honda CR-V was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police said the driver of the Volkswagen suffered a minor injury and stayed at the scene. The front passenger suffered a serious fracture to their left leg and was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
