Threat at Dublin elementary school believed to be swatting call, district says

The district says the threat is believed to be a swatting incident.

DUBLIN, Ohio — The Dublin Police Department is responding to Wyandot Elementary School for a "non-credible" threat.

According to a Dublin City Schools spokesperson, the district received a report of a potential threat at the elementary school located on Dublinshire Drive.

The district said it immediately implemented its safety protocols. Dublin police posted on X saying it was responding to the school for what the district believes is a swatting incident.

The school is secure and there is no indication that the threat is credible, according to the district.

Everyone in the school is safe and the district says the school day is proceeding as normal.

The district also said it believes this was a swatting incident.

"Our dedicated team is continuing to work closely with Dublin Police, who are on-site and thoroughly investigating the situation," the district said.
