COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police say two people, including a child, were hospitalized with serious injuries after being attacked by dogs in Reynoldsburg on Tuesday.
Officers with the Reynoldsburg Division of Police were called to the 6500 block of Glacier Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on a report of two dogs attacking an adult and a child.
The victims sustained serious injuries during the attack and were taken by Truro Township medics to a local hospital.
According to police, an officer discharged his weapon, hitting one of the dogs as it ran toward a back porch, away from the victims. Police say the dog had turned its attention toward the officer when it was shot.
The dog was euthanized by Franklin County Animal Control due to its injuries. Animal control also took the other dog involved in the attack.
