COLUMBUS, Ohio — A motorcyclist was killed when it collided with an SUV at an intersection on the city’s northeast side on Sunday, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Around 5:05 p.m., police said a Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading north on Stelzer Road passing the Middlemore Drive intersection as Buick Encore was turning left to go east on Middlemore.
The vehicles collided at the intersection.
Police said the motorcyclist, 43-year-old James Mckinnie, was taken to a hospital in the area where he was pronounced dead at 5:55 p.m.
The occupants inside the Buick were treated for injuries at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
