OSHP: 1 hospitalized after crash on U.S. Route 23 in Pickaway County

One person was taken to a hospital and two others were evaluated by medics on scene, troopers told 10TV.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — An early morning crash Friday on U.S. Route 23 in Pickaway County has left one person injured, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. 

The crash involving two vehicles happened around 5:30 a.m. OSHP says troopers were out investigating a crash when another crash happened.

One person was taken to a hospital and two others were evaluated by medics on scene, troopers told 10TV.

All southbound lanes were closed for nearly an hour but have since reopened. The northbound lanes opened back up just before 9:30 a.m.

Pickaway County is under a Level 1 snow emergency due to icy road conditions after Thursday’s snowfall and below freezing temperatures early Friday morning. It's unclear if the crash was caused by icy roads.
