COTA resumes normal service after downtown demonstrations

COTA says it has resumed all normal routes following the Saturday protests

The Central Ohio Transportation Authority said Saturday it is rerouting several bus lines around downtown Columbus because of demonstrations in the area.

COTA has rerouted 14 bus lines including 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 102 and CMAX.

Areas of transfer will be at East Broad Street and Grant Avenue.

COTA had rerouted downtown bus lines earlier this year because of protests.

According to COTA, the action helps keep customers and bus drivers safe, and to allow protesters to demonstrate safely.
