Columbus Zoo's newest region Adventure Cove opens Friday

The zoo began working on the new region in October 2017 which features a Pacific Northwest-inspired coast and harbor setting for sea lions and seals.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium's newest region, Adventure Cove, will be opening Friday, July 10.

The zoo began working on the new region in October 2017 which features a Pacific Northwest-inspired coast and harbor setting for sea lions and seals.

The region will also feature Jack Hanna’s Animal Encounters Village which will include opportunities for human-wildlife interactions.

Stingray Bay is also returning as a year-round chance to experiencing stingrays up close. 

The Rides at Adventure Cove, in the former Jungle Jack’s Landing area, have also undergone renovations.

All visitors to the zoo will need a dated and timed ticket to help make sure protocols for social distancing are followed.

People can visit without a timed ticket after 3 p.m. each day as long as they have a valid membership card and photo ID.
