The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium's newest region, Adventure Cove, will be opening Friday, July 10.
The zoo began working on the new region in October 2017 which features a Pacific Northwest-inspired coast and harbor setting for sea lions and seals.
The region will also feature Jack Hanna’s Animal Encounters Village which will include opportunities for human-wildlife interactions.
Stingray Bay is also returning as a year-round chance to experiencing stingrays up close.
The Rides at Adventure Cove, in the former Jungle Jack’s Landing area, have also undergone renovations.
All visitors to the zoo will need a dated and timed ticket to help make sure protocols for social distancing are followed.
People can visit without a timed ticket after 3 p.m. each day as long as they have a valid membership card and photo ID.
