COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will be showing family-friendly films this summer with their own take on drive-in movies with "Drive-In ZOOvies."
The zoo will be showing the movies up on a screen in the northeast parking lot with audio playing through an FM radio station.
The series of eight movies will be shown at 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays from June 19 to July 11.
Each vehicle will need to pre-purchase admission on the zoo's website. No tickets will be sold at the zoo.
Zoo members receive discounted admission at $25 per vehicle and includes one free bag of popcorn. Guests can purchase a ticket at $30 per vehicle.
Both can save $10 when they purchase admission for two movies per weekend. Admission to the zoo is not included.
The zoo says limited concessions will be available and guests can bring in their own food and beverages.
The parking lot will open 30 minutes before the start time of each movie.
