Columbus Zoo bus returns this summer, offers daily service

The fare costs $2 for adults and $1 for children under the age of 12. There is no charge for children under 5 years old to ride the bus.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Zoo bus will be back in service on Memorial Day Weekend.

The bus takes customers from downtown Columbus to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay.

According to the Central Ohio Transit Authority, the service starts May 25 and will run seven days a week through Labor Day. Those interested in boarding the bus can hop on from downtown, Griggs Dam Park & Ride or the Dublin Park & Ride.

The zoo bus will make five trips per day. The first departs from State and High streets at 8:14 a.m. and the last will leave the zoo at 7:15 p.m. to return downtown.

The fare costs $2 for adults and $1 for children under the age of 12. There is no charge for children under 5 years old to ride the bus.

Every customer who rides will also receive admission to the zoo for only $5 or receive $10 off Zoombezi Bay admission.

Customers have to ask the bus operator for a coupon. It will be limited to one per customer.

Those using a coupon must go to the admission window at the zoo so it can be verified.
