COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man suspected of fatally shooting another man and injuring three women at a strip club in Columbus last month was arrested by federal law enforcement.
Members of a U.S Marshals task force arrested 21-year-old Travis Ingram Jr. Wednesday morning in connection to the deadly shooting at The Doll House Columbus on Jan. 29.
Ingram is charged with the aggravated murder of 37-year-old Charles Smith and the felonious assault of the other three victims.
On Jan. 29, Police were called to the strip club, located in the 1600 block of Karl Court, shortly after 2 a.m. following reports of a shooting.
Officers arrived at the scene and found Smith suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead by medics at 2:28 a.m.
Two other victims were taken to the hospital and a fourth victim was grazed by a bullet and treated at the scene.
On Wednesday, Ingram was arrested at a home in Massillon, located west of Canton in Stark County.
Task force members seized three firearms during the arrest. Authorities say another man is potentially being charged with obstruction of justice.
Ingram was held in custody in Stark County until he was extradited back to Columbus on March 6.
He was arraigned on murder and felonious assault charges. He is being held on a $1.5 million bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 16.
Earlier this month, Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein filed a lawsuit to declare The Doll House Columbus a public nuisance citing reports of shootings and other crimes.
Additionally, Klein says the City of Columbus is urging the court to shut down The Dollhouse in the near future until the club’s owners can demonstrate they have been able to address safety and security concerns.
