COLUMBUS, Ohio — The power is beginning to come back on for many central Ohio residents after tornadoes and strong storms moved through central Ohio.
At its peak, as many as 10,000 AEP Ohio customers were without power Wednesday morning. Less than 50 Franklin County customers are without power as of 11:30 p.m.

The storms produced at least three tornadoes in central Ohio and two others in the western part of the state.
Some highways and state routes were flooded by the heavy rain. Dozens of schools delayed their start times by up to two hours due to the storms.
Winds turn and temperatures dropped through the day. The Columbus area saw temperatures to the 30s by late afternoon and hit the 20s in the evening.
