Columbus Metropolitan Library to open new Reynoldsburg branch April 24

The library says the new branch will be roughly double the size of the previous building at 39,200 square feet.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Metropolitan Library’s new Reynoldsburg branch is set to open its doors on April 24.

The old location of the library at 1402 Brice Road was built in 1980 and was renovated and expanded in 1990 to 19,800 square feet. The building was later demolished in 2022 and a new two-level branch is now being constructed at the same site.

The library says the new branch will be roughly double the size at 39,200 square feet.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on April 24 at 3:30 p.m. before it officially opens to the public.

Before the new branch opens, the library will close the temporary Reynoldsburg branch at 1308 Brice Road on April 13 at 6 p.m.

Customers are encouraged to visit nearby library locations like CML’s Barnett and Whitehall branches for services until the new branch opens.

Anyone interested in being a part of the library and community’s history can visit the temporary branch beginning April 1 to sign a commemorative panel that will later be installed at the new branch.
