COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Metropolitan Library revealed its new LEGO display earlier this week, just in time for the start of the summer reading challenge.
The library’s giant LEGO display is located in the Main Library’s Grand Atrium next to the staircase. This year’s summer display features different scenes of “camp life.”
Visitors will see a lake, cabins, woods, a rock climbing wall and all sorts of explorers setting out on an adventure.
According to the library, the display was put together by a team of skilled LEGO enthusiasts called “OhioLUG.” The group shared a video of the display being set up. Many of the bigger pieces are set up ahead of time so during the day of the setup, items can quickly be placed.
LEGO displays have been set up at places like the Columbus Museum of Art, the Mechanicsburg Public Library, Champaign County Library and the Columbus Library’s Book Festival.
The pieces celebrate the Summer Reading Challenge, which is set to begin on June 11.
