COLUMBUS, Ohio — A pedestrian was seriously injured when they were struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the South Linden neighborhood Tuesday night, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Around 10:42 p.m., police said the pedestrian was crossing Cleveland Avenue at East 13th Avenue when a blue SUV was heading south on Cleveland Avenue and struck them. The vehicle did not stay at the scene.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Police said they are expected to survive.
The crash remains under investigation.
