The mystery surrounding a cat spotted in Powell may have been solved.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the animal fits the description of a missing cat.
According to the Powell Police twitter account, the large tabby cat may be 20 pounds and 2 1/2 feet in length has been missing from a nearby resident since June.

The city of Powell is warning people about what may be a large cat spotted near the city.
The animal was seen near Valley Run Drive in the Deer Run subdivision around 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
The Powell Police Department contacted the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, which confirmed none of its animals had escaped.
The city said the animal did not show any aggressive behavior.
A spokesperson for the city told 10TV they are not on high alert but rather just making sure people are aware.
The city and the zoo are working to identify the animal, but its size is difficult to determine in the video.
If anyone has sighted the animal or knows what animal it may be, they are asked to call the Powell Police Department at 614-885-3374.
