The Columbus City Attorney’s Office announced that a strip club plagued by violence has been shut down.
According to the complaint, Rachel’s Gentleman’s Club located at 6065 Channingway Boulevard, has generated more than 135 calls for service since 2015.
The city was granted an emergency board up request against the owner and its incorporators Wednesday morning.
“This establishment has been on our radar for quite some time and we are relieved that the city’s persistence has finally paid off,” City Attorney Richard C. Pfeiffer, Jr. said.
Columbus Police began investigating the club in 2015 after a number of calls including robberies, assaults, underage drinking and shootings.
One person was killed in a shooting outside the club on June 1.
