COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 5-year-old boy was found safe after reportedly being inside a vehicle when it was stolen in Columbus’ Victorian Village neighborhood Tuesday evening, according to police.
The Columbus Division of Police received a call around 3:15 p.m. from someone who reported that their child was inside a vehicle that had just been stolen. The vehicle was reportedly taken from the 600 block of Dennison Avenue, near Goodale Park. The caller their vehicle was running with her sleeping child inside.
Around 4:21 p.m., Albert said officers were dispatched to Mount Carmel College of Nursing on a report of a child being left in a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle with the child inside. The child was not injured and returned to his parents.
The suspect has not yet been located, according to police.
