Authorities have identified a body pulled from the Scioto River as 17-year-old Payton Young.
The Columbus Police Dive Team recovered Payton’s body Monday near Hayden Falls Park.
Payton was last seen on January 21. Her vehicle was recovered that night near the park.
Inside the car, police said they found a suicide note on her cellphone along with a website on how to hold your breath underwater.
Dive team initially searched the area for two days but that search was called off after several reported sightings.
After the reported sightings, CPD classified the missing central Ohio teenage girl as a runaway.
Detectives are working with the coroner's office to determine the cause of death.
