Police: 15-year-old killed in northeast Columbus shooting, 16-year-old charged

The 16-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with reckless homicide.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 15-year-old boy was killed in a shooting on the city’s northeast side Thursday night, according to the Columbus Division of Police. A 16-year-old boy was charged in his death.

Officers were called to the 4000 block of Blendon Grove Way, located west of Hamilton Road, around 9:35 p.m.  Police arrived and found 15-year-old Micah Mobley who was shot.

He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m.

The 16-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with reckless homicide.

Details on what led to the shooting were not provided.
