COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person was seriously injured during a shooting in east Columbus Thursday evening, police said.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called on a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Barnett Road, located just outside of Whitehall, on a report of a shooting shortly after 8:10 p.m.
One person was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
Columbus public safety dispatchers told 10TV the shooting stemmed from a carjacking.
Police did not have information on a suspect.
